We're off to New Zealand

We are off on Sunday (Jan 31) for a lengthy trip to New Zealand.

The planning is as follows:
- leave Toronto for Vancouver at 14:00; arriving 16:18;
- leave Vancouver for Sydney, Australia at 23:45
- arrive in Sydney at 10:15, February 2nd
- overnight in Sydney
- to Auckland, New Zealand on February 3rd in the morning, airline to be determined; the joys of flying standby

After arrival we have booked an itinerary through Goway Travel, the same company we used in Australia in 2004. We've combined a number of their city packages with two of their self-drive packages, and we will be touring effectively all of New Zealand, North Island and South Island, in just about 4 weeks.

On the 2nd of March we will leave from Christchurch, to fly to Sydney, from there to Vancouver, then Toronto, arriving at about 4:15 the same day, only about 30 hours in transit.

I will post to this blog as often as I am able, although probably only in outline form - to be fleshed out when time permits. However, do check in if you want to keep up with us.
